Planning a McSpirk Movie Night for my Bonespreg Fic- because obviously- how do we think it would go?

Setup: McCoy and Kirk have been doing this for a while, but now that McCoy and Spock share quarters, they're like, it wouldn't hurt to let him in on this, probably. They definitely don't want to leave him OUT! (And while they do have a living room, they watch the movies in McCoy's bed, for comfy)

Do they insist on showing Spock "a classic", like Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride, The Neverending Story? Would they quote their favorite lines or talk through it? Do they shush Spock every time he tries to say something? DOES Spock try to say anything?

(I think he's the guy that asks what's about to happen even if it's a new to everyone movie and you have to say 'I don't know my guy you've seen the same amount of movie I have now shush')

Alternatively, would they go for a musical; would they have a great time watching Mamma Mia until "Slipping Through My Fingers" comes on and McCoy just has to leave, and Jim's like "yeah he does this every time we watch this." Or maybe they'd pick out Phantom of the Opera, thinking Spock would like that.

Maybe not thinking at all, they'd choose a comedy. Airplane, where the wit is fast as fuck, or a Mel Brooks movie, either way, they'd have to stop the movie because they'd have to keep explaining the jokes.

They could pick a super niche artsy movie they saw on a shore leave once that they're pretty sure they're the only people who've ever seen it but they thought it was great, and to their surprise, Spock's actually seen that one and does appreciate it.

More than anything, I think McCoy falls asleep before the movie is over no matter what. Could be his favorite movie, could be a very exciting movie, doesn't matter, he's snoozing.

For the ask game: both eee and Spock amok preg sound super interesting <3

So "eeee" is my super long spones bonespreg 😆 Right now, Spock & McCoy have just started being all couple-y, kissing, sharing a bed, and he's in the beginning of his second trimester. However, they have not actually defined what their relationship is at all, which is fun for me and stressing out Jim!

In the chapter I'm writing now, they're having Scotty and Uhura over to hang out at their place because they want to set them up. I'm not exactly sure how that'll play out yet, but probably positively! Don't think they'll end up dating there but the seeds will be sown.

I think it'll end up being something background, like Uhura and Scotty start hanging out on occasion because they had a good time. Maybe one of them will cancel plans with McCoy or Spock to hang out with each other later. Probably Uhura canceling on Spock, because they have a more regular hang out schedule, and it'll give him a surprise free evening to be with McCoy.

In "spock amok preg", McCoy discovers that Spock's pregnant (with Kirk's baby, probably, because i actually haven't written anything spirk yet) during his examination of him, but doesn't have a chance to tell him that before the wedding.

McCoy has to tell Jim before he shoots him with the simulated death hypo, because you know. He's worried the wrong strike could cause a miscarriage. T'Pring was still going to choose the divorce but she decided Jim was going to be the one he fought because hello? The audacity of showing up pregnant to your wedding, WITH the baby daddy??? But she kinda says it in a vague way so he still doesn't know he's pregnant until he's back on the ship and being fussed over. The baby ends up being fine and they're happy 💗
