Mayhem on a Cross (4.21) I love this scene so much. The open vulnerability of each character gets me every single time.

Contrary to popular opinion, I think Wyatt is talking about Brennan in this moment. Mostly because of the word ‘struggles’. She is hyperaware of Booth, and that makes her uncomfortable for a long time. The letter from Aliens in a Spaceship comes to mind. In Parts of the Sum of the Whole, she doesn’t deny her feelings or her attraction. Brennan doubts her ability to change and be what he needs, and I see her feeling that here, too. Maybe this moment even gives her a little hope that she is capable of growing.
