1. Once upon a time, when I was 12, my favorite Sailor Moon fanfic writer was “Crystal Heart.” I decided that MY pen name for fanfiction was going to be in the same style of “gemstone + romantic thing,” and thus: Emerald Rose. Also the name of my shitty shitty OC. It’s since been simplified down and weebed up, and 18 years later, I have been “emchan” longer than some people on this blue hell website have been alive. 

2. I am a type 1, insulin-dependent, diabetic. 

3. I eat hot cheetos with chopsticks. Everyone should, really. 

4. I have saved every scrap of writing and as many RP logs as possible, since I was 13 or so. I keep it all in a zip file, entitled “Reasons I Do Not Write,” and I will give it to you if you promise to laugh at me a lot. I only know how to make friends by being really really embarrassing, honestly. 

5. Currently, I have around 2 TB of anime, both archived and to-watch. 

6. If I really love a thing, I tend to collect it. My biggest collections are office/school supplies, lipsticks, and craft supplies. I’m including my yarn stash in with crafting supplies so that I don’t have to think too much about it. Smaller collections are owls, wax melts, MLP (including my originals from the 80′s), and volleyballs. Shame is a higher brain function, and as I am a basically a slug in a human body, you’ll just have to go ahead and feel ashamed in my place~

10. what’s your favourite piece of clothing you own?

At the moment my current outfit! A large pyjama flannel shirt, the white cardigan i wear in probably every selfie on here lol, and a pair of soft black cotton pants! I'm trying to find as many pieces of clothing similar to these as possible, i've been wearing the same outfit for weeks (between washes ofc lol) because everything else feels horrid in comparison, SAD

13. if you had to choose one POSITIVE word to describe yourself, what would it be?

ahhhhh well i can be funny!! I think!! please laugh

22. who was your childhood favourite music artist?

omg honestly probably michael jackson and jackson 5, i was obsessed! also nightwish!

28. when you’re sad, do you prefer to listen to music to match your mood, or listen to happy music?

When i'm sad i honestly prefer listening to podcasts or youtube lectures instead of music, there's something more relaxing about a voice with an even tone talking, or several people discussing... I guess it makes me feel less alone, which a lot fo music doesn't achieve. Though a lot of dream pop and shoegaze with their warm guitars also manages to comfort me in the same way, of feeing less lonely (think there's a study about that too if i'm not mistaken lol)

34. what’s your book/movie/tv guilty pleasure?

Don't believe in guilty pleasures! I rarely start watching new tv shows, but i recently started watching Grace and Frankie and i honestly really like it! Guilty pleasure since it's a netflix show maybe, but there are a lot of good originals tbh. That 70's Show too, I love the show, why do they all have to be scientologists lmao

36. do you paint your nails?

I'm a baker so it's not allowed, for special occasions i do!

37. what’s an uncommon/specific /obscure topic you’re interested in?

Toxicology probably. Fear driven morbid interest i supposel. I’m quite neurotic about specifically food safety and often read journals and reports related to the topic. Also reading about the history of certain preservatives being pulled from the market only after severe adverse effects and the difference in safety regulations worldwide is very interesting to me.

40. what’s the most interesting item you own?

Probably this weird "radiation blocking" inidgo blue glass pyramid i got at some spiritual fair like a decade ago, it looks cool (i'll post a pic later!) don't know about the radiation blocking tho lol, also a rabbit art tarot deck by an artist who now wishes to remain anonymous.
