Bonnie and Nora embrace each other for a long time, neither wanting to really let go. Emily’s spirit urges them to hurry up so she can get Nora to safety and away from the Devourer. Kai watches them with a blank expression. They finally pull away from each other and Nora goes with Emily leaving Bonnie and Kai alone.
“Bonnie.” Kai stepped forward.
Bonnie takes a step back in turn. “Don’t. Don’t say my name, not like that.” His voice was pleading and it hurt to listen to it. “Not after what you did.”
Kai grabs her hand yanking her to him. “Bonnie listen to me! I had no choice, it was the only way to get rid of the marks! If I didn’t betray you I would’ve died!”
She snatches her hand out of his. “Screw you Kai.”
“I know I can never make up for what I did to you but I swear I’ll spend the rest of my life trying.”
