This is a WIP done for BonnyJohn, whose artwork I've seen on Kotaku's TAY blog. He's done some fantastic redesigns of Pokémon and Super Mario Bros. characters, and I wanted to try my hand at one of my own. I drew this Princess Peach before he did his own, but I decided to upload it anyways. I'll be uploading a shaded and background-ed version soon, as well as an alternate Fire Peach version in honor of Super Mario 3D World.

 I think my favorite scene in any game with Princess Peach is where she stops a fight in Super Smash Bros. Brawl by offering both parties tea. On a speeding airship. She's also athletic, skilled at cooking and baking, and her subjects love her. The Princess gets a lot of unneeded flack, in my opinion.

I'm glad she's playable again, but running and climbing in a long gown with heels never made sense for me. So I went to her designs in the sports games for inspiration. I wanted something pretty, easy to move around in, with comfortable shoes. What are your thoughts?
