Thank you, all you wonderful artists for giving us so much awesome PJO/HoO art!
Zero. That's right.
Today's the day!
Go, run, get your copy!!!!!!
And please, once you're done, still remember to tag your spoilers for at least a few weeks. I'll be tagging mine as 'boo spoiler', so please blacklist that if you don't want to be spoiled.
I'm so nervous right now. OH MY GODS IT'S ACTUALLY OCTOBER 7TH!
All right, demigods. It's been fun, and magical, and incredible. I've had the best year ever blogging in prep of this book. I can't wait to come back and talk to you all about it.
I don't care what others say- I think this fandom is (mostly) awesome. You guys are the best. I can't believe after all our theorizing, predicting, and excitement we're actually about to finish this amazing story that's been with us for so many years. It's time to see the prophecy unfold, for better or worse.
And now, after the longest wait EVER, my countdown officially has come to an end.
Goodbye, demigods. It's been real.
PJO/HOO fandom, Just because the series is ending, our fandom won't have to end. I don't know how I'm in a stable condition right now, but we can get though this together. Here's to the fandom, the characters, everything we've done, everything we've read, everything we've felt, everything related to our fandom. We're not just a fandom, we're a family.
Dear Percy Jackson
All day I've been thinking of what I was going to say for the last day of the BOO Countdown. I was going to write a super long goodbye letter to Percy for taking up such a huge part of me and it was probably going to be really sappy and I would definitely not know how to end it... I've come to the conclusion that this is what I have to say
See ya 'round, Perce ;)
A letter to myself before the Blood of Olympus
Dear myself- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Okay. Its time. Lets see how far we come. Its getting late, and i want you to know, yeah. The final Percy Jackson book. Its getting released, and now you've read it. You know how it ends. But you know what? Percy won't ever leave your side. Sure, the others will be with you, annabeth will always clap her hands and scribble down the answer to that really obscure architecture question on that test you have no idea is about, piper will give you great ideas for your hair, frank will be frank and remind you to keep it simple, jason will get knocked unconsious during a fight, hazel will remind you that it's okay to be old-fashioned, and leo will always pop into your mind when you're depressed and make you want to blow something up. Grover will be that awkward friend who knows just what to say, Rachel will be your art buddy too. But Percy Jackson. You might not have noticed, but as you grew up.... He grew up with you. He made you realize that it's important to have friends. Just because you move alot doesnt mean you shouldn't make emotional attachments. Friends are good for you. percy made you realize that if someone messes with your friend, you shouldn't turn a deaf ear or a blind eye. Challenge that person to a sword fight! Percy was the one who made you realize sarcasim is an art. Percy and the Lightning theif have traveled with you across countries in that little back-pack you save for your "fun things". you always overpack, afraid you'll run out of things to do, but really all you needed was Percy in your hand. You've traveled with him and Annabeth and grover. He's a part of who you have molded yourself to be. And yes. There will be deaths. It's naive of me to think of... But i really want one of the seven to not be one of those deaths. Or ANY of the seven. Maybe "an oath to keep with final breath" maybe thats about an enemy, like "hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap" (good job with that one, Mr. Riordan). But if.... You'll be crying. You'll be crying when you read this, trying to remember exactly how you felt before Blood of Olympus shattered your world. And you know what? That's okay. None of the characters will ever leave your side. I've come full circle. I probably could have started with the whole death thing and the end of the series, but i think you're going to need that hug, you're going to need that percy jackson hug, when you read this. Love, katelynn P.S Percy Jackson is forever. Just because the pages say "the end", there's still a story going on. You just have to think of it your self. Those reunions, those funerals. They happen. Percy wouldn't want you to forget the times you shared with him and the campers of Camp Half-Blood and the demigods on Argo 2.
PJO Fan Stories
If I remember correctly yesterday and today are supposed to be PJO Fan Stories day... I'm not sure if you guys are doing it, but I'll post mine later tonight! (I'm in Latin class right now...)

THIS IS IT EVERYONE.
Jason hated being old.
Me too, Jason. It's been so many, SO MANY, years. And now, after all this waiting, the grand finale is upon us. Tomorrow, the end comes.
Are we ready? Uh. Some more than others. I've seen so many mixed emotions, and I've felt them too. I'm switching from excitement to dread to fear to panic. I know this is going to be a roller coaster of a story- there will be laughter, of course, but also tears. This is the final battle, after all.
I can't wait to see how the story wraps up for everyone. I really think everyone in the 'top ten' deserves a happy ending, so it's going to be REALLY rough if someone doesn't.
There will be death. That much I'm certain of. And that won't be fun. But there will be lots of love, friendship, bonding, and discoveries too.
It seems like just yesterday, we were waiting to see Percy again, or worrying over the new characters. Now, look how close we are to good old Jason, the fearless Piper, funny Leo, magical Hazel, warrior Frank, and of course, the classic Percy and Annabeth. Not to mention the fabulous development we got from Nico, Reyna, and Hedge- can't wait to see how their quest goes!
So, demigods. This is the end of the road.
Tomorrow, everything will be different.
