Top 5 Things You WON’T Read in a Brochure About Bloomsburg University:
The Bloomsburg Fair is one of the many attractions held in downtown Bloomsburg. This fair is the biggest fair in Pennsylvania with hundreds of game and food stands. There is a different performer for each of the 10 days it lasts, and a handful of rides and animals. The Bloomsburg Fair is definitely my favorite part of falls semester!
The recreation center at Bloomsburg is amazing. Not only are there a ton of machines in multiple rooms to work out on, but there is a fourth mile track to run on that outlines the basketball courts. There is also a rock wall to climb if you feel up to the challenge. My absolute favorite part of the recreation center is that it offers free classes ranging anywhere from body building to Zumba!
During finals when everyone is studying, Bloomsburg offers free cookies and coffee in all the dorm halls and academic buildings 24/7. Also, Bloomsburg brings in different animals each semester for students to pet and hold to help take the stress away. My favorite was when they had all different kinds of reptiles to play with.
Bloomsburg offers intramural sports teams for students who just want to have fun. They are not competitive and are completely student ran. So, students get to pick their own teams and captain, and which days of the week they want to play. My softball team has been playing together since freshman year and we love it!
The third floor of the library is the best place to study. It is always quiet on that floor and there is almost always a cubby available. When I go to the library, the third floor is the place where you can find me.
