Satoshi is, to a fault, pretty and unintentionally jealous! There’s nothing that puts a stopper to him once this happens, be it between closest and closer friends, peers.
It’s no big secret, but for the people that do pick up on these quirks or understand him through a similar case in point, it’s equally as embarrassing.

FACT CARD, All throughout their stay in middle school, Satoshi proclaims his role, albeit a little bitterly, every instance he gets. He very diligently knows if as an underdog! To him, it’s not so much as a fault as, 'the way things are.'
Satoshi has also sighted himself as a secure piece, if not permanent force in forwarding Oreki to somewhere he isn’t already now. He takes pride in this, so he doesn’t understand and it frustrates him to this day!
That is, when Houtarou esteems him as this more radiant, ‘main character’ so to speak - Even if he gets bunked off early. This goes to say very little about the jibing, jabs and their playful patronizing that goes both ways!
Endearing, firstly realistic with how cohesively they stick, opinionated and how important what the other thinks is. Any injury sustained during is something they can talk and work through. At this point. It’s not so much injury but the two knowing how to push each others' so indifferently.

Unfortunately, Satoshi’s commitment to maps and misplaced confidence in his mapping skills gets him lost a lot! A lot… More than he wishes to admit. Doesn’t exactly asking for directions, either, but when with a partner that calls him out on his outrageousness, gets fed up and really wants to go home.
Gives him a thoughtful glare that puts you back in your place! Lately… He does more than not.
