Hey, guys, wouldn't it be nice if we wrote letters to Uncle Rick, as well? Tag him. I'm sure he'll see it. :)
The master behind it all is the most deserving of all.

BoO Countdown Day 7 (FINAL): Percy Jackson
I have been in ambiguous amounts of love with Piper since The Lost Hero. for the countdown.
Again, apologies for lateness, I'm a terrible person oops.
Okay let's discuss Piper Mclean aka Queen.
To be honest, in the lost hero, I didn't really like Piper. I don't know why, probably some stupid reason. Anyways, for some reason it was very hard for me to connect with her in the first book she appeared in. When Mark of Athena rolled around, I thought Piper was alright. I liked her character but for me she wasn't one of my favourites. And then House of Hades happened and can I just say...what the hell?
I mean seriously, I just reread the House of Hades and Piper had one POV. That's right, exactly one. And she managed to defeat an immortal snow goddess and wake up a metal dragon on her own in those four chapters.
I still don't fully understand how she did it but wow. I think Piper is one of the strongest demigods out there because she's not afraid to test the limits of a power and so she keeps discovering new things about herself. However, we seldom see her actually use her charmspeak in full force because that's just not her.
Piper is very very powerful and to be honest, I think her light hearted personality does all of us good cuz if she wanted to, she could literally torture people with just her voice and that would be scary as hell.
I was really proud of her when we found out that she was bonding with Hazel over Annabeth and was learning how to sword fight.
Also, even though Piper seems very confident, we know that inside she continuously keeps doubting her worth. Just like some people in the fandom keep calling her useless, Gaea's minions keep telling her the same, untrue things too.
When Piper was fighting of Khione, we could see that in her mind she kept repeating that she was done being called useless by everyone around her. She acknowledged the fact that she was as worthy as any of the other seven chosen demigods of the prophecy. When she turned the tide against Khione it was like she was answering back to all the readers of the books that ever doubted or straight up hated on her character. It was an amazing scene and one of my favourites in the book.
I am so proud of Piper and how far she has come of this journey. We must remember that Piper and Leo are the newest to all of this demigod stuff going around and be respectful of that. They are more on top of things than Percy was the first time he was introduced to this crazy fantastical world.
Considering that, it is amazing how far Piper has come and I hope her journey continues on in the Blood of Olympus and becomes even more and more epic!

BoO Countdown Day 6: Frank Zhang
Hey guys! First of all I'm really sorry this is late and so crappy and just school's killing me uhh
Now let's talk about annabeth. To be honest when the Heroes of Olympus series rolled around, I was sure we were done with all the character development we could have gotten for this character so so I very pleasantly surprised with all the growth we saw in her.
Annabeth is one of my absolute favourites; ever since we met her in the lightning thief. She's a brilliant strategist and is extremely wise. She's was my first book role model for these very reasons. However, Annabeth Chase isn't perfect. A we see in the Mark of Athena which was the first time we got to read from her perspective, this great demigod that gives of the impression of being amazing at everything she does is actually insecure about herself and her powers.
As Annabeth herself mentioned, the rest of the Argo crew all had these very special powers that set them apart as children of the gods but all Annabeth had was her brain and her wits.
I really liked seeing her go through her solo quest and discover herself and her capabilities while she was at it. Also, in the Mark of Athena I found it really interesting how Annabeth was having a hard time trusting the Romans and how by the end she came to terms with it.
Now let's talk about Tartarus. When Mark of Athena ended, I was so terrified and upset because two of my favourite characters would have to endure the most gruesome and horrifying part of their world and when House of Hades rolled around, it was very hard for me to read the Tartarus parts of the book because I just couldn't watch them struggle through yet another impossible obstacle.
With that being said, I would also like to add that I was so proud of her all through Tartarus. I mean, we got this huge growth in Mark of Athena but who would've though that Annabeth would be befriending a giant and encouraging him to change his own fate? Percy doing that I could still imagine but Annabeth was more skeptical and trusted others less. It took her a while to warm up to Bob but the relationship between her and Damasen was great to see. Also, as soon as they fell into the pit, as terrified as they were, Annabeth began to formulate a plan.
I love that the most about her. No matter what situation she is in, she has enough control over herself to calm down for a second and think about how to get out of it.
There are a billion more things I could add here about how much I love Annabeth and why but this is getting way too long so I'm going to stop here.
I just hope that this demigod gets a very well deserved happy conclusion because its been ten years of her dealing with all these monster craziness. I hope in the Blood of Olympus we see more of Annabeth opening up to the Romans and everybody else on the Argo and we get to see more Annabeth action :)
