"Okay, I believe you!"
Also finished Sentenced to be a Hero this week.
When I tell you I KNOW Kivia is going to come back with a vengeance in season 2.
Bad, clinical sex with your demon lord Spriggan because until Boojum knows the ins and outs of coitus, he will never understand the "vital motivation of you and your joke of a species; multiplication." and how else do you expect him to act accordingly amongst the slightly more useful coexistors? Serve your lord, and you will be rewarded.. Eventually.
short story shorter. Tentacle porn
"Where the Snark, with a glass in its eye, dressed in gown, bands, and wig, was defending a pig on the charge of deserting its sty... So the Snark found the verdict, although, as it owned, it was spent with the toils of the day: when it said the word 'GUILTY!' the Jury all groaned, and some of them fainted away."
-The Hunting of the Snark | Lewis Carroll
Just realized something when I was rewatching the 'Trial' episode of the Animated Series. I'm a big fan of the Mad Hatter, so I was excited to see him featured in another episode. However, it always got me wondering why they gave him such prominence: being the first witness AND the announcer of the final verdict.
It was just now that I realized that maybe his prominence is supposed to be a reference to the 'Hunting of the Snark' poem by Lewis Carroll. There's a part in that story where the character of the Barrister has a satirical dream about the Justice system. In it, the Snark is the defense attorney for a pig "accused of deserting its sty." It supposedly goes on talking for three hours, causing the jury to get bored and disinterested, just believing whatever the Snark says. The Snark also weasels its way into becoming the Judge of the case...
BUT, right at the very end, the Snark randomly, and cruelly declares the final verdict to be GUILTY, instead of not guilty, which was its previous claim as the defense attorney. (The jury gasps and faints at this news.)
This is quite similar to what happens in the Animated Series episode. Everyone assumes that the rogues will choose - with bias - to convict Batman. However, it is Tetch that announces the surprise verdict of NOT GUILTY! Just something cool I thought I'd share with everyone.
