The Princetta is a story about royalty, pirates, ships and crew, a young female protagonist, betrayals and mystery and adventure and danger, friendship, love, loss, dreams, reality, hope, family, it's a story about coming of age and learning by experience. It's really, really good in terms of worldbuilding - seriously, awesome worldbuilding - as well as having a variety of characters with their own strengths, a complex female character- a 15 year old girl, and the novel ends with her at 17 years old - for the main character, and deals with so many concepts and a whole wash of emotions in a skillful and engaging manner, and just - there's so much to it you have to read it, you'll love it. you'll laugh...and cry. it deals with love and loss and all of these things in a very mature way, it doesn't dumb things down or simplify these things, the author presents them through the eyes of a 15-17 year old and does it justice. And you will cry. But they handle that really well too, i think.
One of my favourite books when it comes to fun stuff and just pure entertainment is David Safier's "Jesus liebt mich". As far as I know it hasn't been translated yet, but that might change soon because they actually just made a movie of the book (can't wait to see it). The literal translation would be "Jesus loves me".
Marie just got out of another disastrous relationship, Apparently she has the unfortunate talent to fall in love with the wrong men. But the guy she meets now might be the weirdest of them all: he's convinced that he's Jesus and came back to earth for the Last Judgement. At first Marie thinks that this guy is completely mad, but it turns out that this guy is actually Jesus.
I love this book (actually all books of David Safier) because they are so freaking hilarious. I cried from laughter more often than not while reading this book. So if you're looking for some easy, entertaining literature, this is your book.
Hey everyone :) Since I actually read quite a lot, I thought I'd show you guys some of my abolute favourite books. Some of them you might know, but I hope I can show you some new ones, too ;)
I will leave out all the big book series like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Twilight, Game of Thrones, The Mortal Instruments and Interview With The Vampire.
Also a big part of the bookcovers will be in German, but don't worry I'll give you the name of the English versions as well.
Enjoy :)
