So it's occurred to me that when the Ellimist stops time in book 7, Tobias appears in his old human body, but when the Ellimist shows up and stops time again in book 26, Tobias is still in his hawk body, and I can't help but wonder if that's meant to say something about how Tobias views himself early series vs. how he views himself mid to late series.

Book 26 of the 50 book challenge. Gypsy Boy by Mikey Walsh. A memoir of growing up a Romani in England in the 1980's and 1990's. It's a coming of age while realizing he was gay and finding a way to come to terms with that plus the violence in his family. It's a good book that I recommend highly.
