He didn't know how it came to this.  He spent an entire year in Azkaban, the one place Lucius imagined to be hell on Earth.  His home--his own home, his very sanctuary, was taken over by Voldemort, by way of Bellatrix, no doubt.  That, and his own failure as a Death Eater.  Draco was inducted into the league of the Death Eaters now.  Lucius thought about it, and realized that his son was around the age he himself was when he joined in.  Back then, Lucius actually wanted to be part of it.  To make something of himself.

Oh, he certainly made something of himself, all right.
