The pose was hard to do, but this is some my favourite shading/lighting colours I have done in some time. The Cube would happily spend another over 7 hours drawing again (okay, maybe not over 7 hours, but you get my point.)

Book Gijinka/Humanised Designs:

Book is finally here!

My main influence for here design was Aziraphale from the series ‘Good Omens’.

She was harder then I thought to make, obviously based of a librarian, book shop owners and book worms typical wear. Part of what made her difficult is because she has two separate colours on different sides, therefor making differing colour values and a good cool hierarchy. Getting the eyes the right colour was hard since making them brown, green or blue just blends with the rest of the design. Amber it was, and Book has Segmental Heterochromia but that is hard to see due to the lighting of the glasses, so I’ve accidentally screwed myself over.

Can your humanized book design still a book or am I getting scammed and find blood and organs inside?

Both!

Here is an super quick sketch to explain what I mean:

So, she does have pages and they are on her back. Her cardigan is literally her cover (since in the show Book’s cover can be ripped off).

She has blood too, it is made of ink, so yes, she also has organs like a human too.

My Book Gijinka/Human is a hybrid of both.

Book Angel (Sneak Peak):

Just something I am making for BFDIA 18, cause I am that late to the party.

Still extremely busy, I think I’ll add a ‘Busyness Levels (1-10)’ in the main blog since I have a feeling I’ll be getting waves of work, especially at this given moment. The Zero Humanised Design is still under construction, I haven’t been ignoring the votes it will release, I just don’t know when. As for the doodles, they will probably be done this weekend, or this week. Whichever comes first. Just keep your eyes peeled for when it does!

Last Update for the Book humanised/gijinka design (BFDI)

Here’s the sneak peek, last one too.

I am at the colouring stage. This leaves the shadowing and lighting, and background stages to do next.

Book has been tricky, not as difficult as Black Hole, but harder than Lollipop. On a similar level of difficulty as Pillow’s design.
