She works at the local library (someone put a rotten banana in the book return)
Sometimes you need to replace part of your home’s foundation, and sometimes you need to make something that actually matters!
We have books all over the house at all times. Lucci had the idea of a book return so at least we can get them off surfaces if not actually put away.
I modeled the basic outlines and gave my son a printout to draw creatures and adornments onto. Then I brought those drawings back into the Fusion360 model and my friend Ian created the tool pathing and ran the CNC.
It was hard to translate the pure wholesome goodness of James’ line drawings into cut-out silhouettes. But I hope the spirit is in there.
Probably the trickiest part was painting the rainbow to have the proper enamel pin effect I wanted! I give myself a B+.
