Paper Towns by John Green
Top 3 favorite statements:
"Margo always loved mysteries. And in everything that came afterward, I could never stop thinking that maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one" - Q
"All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm." - Margo Roth Spiegelman
"At some point you gotta stop looking up at the sky, or one of these days you'll look back down and see that you floated away, too."
After I finished reading this book, I got frustrated. I got really frustrated that I cried myself to sleep that night. It was tragic. It was tragic that Q already found Margo and still he cannot be with her. That in the end, they have to part. At first, I did not understand. I hated this book. It's tragic and shallow, I thought. But actually it's not. It showed how people this days act. How they only see the superficial. How they are made of paper. It showed that we should go out of our box once in a while. Break the rules once in a while. Live once in a while. It showed friendships and responsibilities. It showed love. And most of all it showed closure. "We play the broken strings of our instruments one last time"
