My context: In 2021 I drew this on whim, and posted it on one of my past doodle tumblrs or instagrams. i decided to recolour it. And in doing so reminded me of a cool comic that I picked up when I was much younger and not an avid a reader. The book was called Kabuki by David Mack and the illustrations in it were really breathtaking, even though I had no clue what the content meant. I had discarded it since, and I wish that I didn't. Thinking on it, it probably has left it's artistic mark, and I left it in the back of my mind.
