The pace of the story is slow initially, but gradually it increases. The flow of the story is smooth. I liked how the authors sequenced the events trying to keep the reader hooked throughout. I liked Radhika’s and sid’s character the most. ☕Author has also used Hinglish language in some stances, which adds as an added advantage, specially the lines "Nalayak ruk. Kahan Bhaag rha hai? "Aaj tjhe maar ke hi dum lungi". "Suicide krega, ruk mai khud tera gala daba deti hoon". Etc. This lines reminds me of my best friend @srushti_sethi. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ That first day in college, to the first crush, to the endless gossips, this book will remind you of your college days. The language used is simple and easy to understand. The writing style is crisp and clear. Overall it's a nice read, many of you will visualise your best friends while reading the book. Good, Short Books to Read at the End of the Year

I’ve seen a few of these lists going around, but I wanted to make my own.  If you have set a reading goal for the year and are way behind, you can still make it up! Here are some books that are good but also short for you to hit your Goodreads goal!

The Last Tycoon by F. Scott Fitzgerald

This book is the same length as Gatsby, which I’m guessing most of you have read, and if it had been finished I think it would have been even better. His notes fill out the end so you’re not left on a cliffhanger.

The Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith

This one is hilarious.  I cannot recommend it enough.  Just...read it.

O Pioneers! by Willa Cather

I love Willa Cather.  I’ve read everything by her, and this is by far my favorite.  It takes place on a farm in Nebraska being run by a woman.  I don’t even know how to describe this further without giving away the plot, but it’s worth a read.

Daisy Miller by Henry James

Nothing wrong with a novella to up your reading count.  I definitely prefer this to most of his longer works.

The Grownup by Gillian Flynn

I really loved Gone Girl and was so happy when a short story by the same author was rereleased this year on its own.  It’s pretty creepy and the main character is so interesting.  I could have read more, but it’s still a satisfying read.

"The Lies of Locke Lamora" by Scott Lynch...

...was so fookin' awesome. I loved Camorra/the world in it with its 13 gods, the characters-- I'M SO JEALOUS! More importantly, I just had one helluva ride with its hairpin turns and dips, and the unsavory (but gloriously fun) dealings/fights. ESPECIALLY THE FIGHTS, HOLY CRAP, fighting dirty [but oh-so-fun and necessary]! So many times I'd flinch and exclaim, "Holy shit...!" IT WAS SO FUN, AAAAGGGHHH...
