Book Challenge
(I can't add pictures right now because I'm at work and it won't allow me to save pictures so I can upload here.) I started a book challenge I found on here called "Tee's April Book Challenge". Of course, it was meant to be done in April, but I just found it and I'm doing it now. I've already got a link on my page and am five days into it. I realized I haven't actually been posting it, I've just been putting it in the link. So, here is what I've done so far: Day 1: Currently Reading I'm currently reading Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman. It is written very, very well and I'm very pleased with how well the show has kept with the story. Of course there are differences and all that. But it's great. Day 2: One of Your Favorite Books Married with Zombies by Jesse Pettersen. I love zombies. I always have. But, this woman took horror and just made it even better. It's a quick read, but well written. It's got everything I need in a good book. Comedy. Suspense. Great characters. Plus, so, so much more. Jesse Pettersen is a talented woman. Day 3: A Book You Grew Up Reading The Kissed by an Angel series by Elizabeth Chandler. I bought this when I was in 7th grade. I've read it four times since then. If you want a good, clean romance with suspense and mystery, this is the book for you. I'll always hold this series close to my heart. Within the last few years she's published another book to go with this series and I have yet to read it. But, it's coming and I can't wait! Day 4: A Book that Changed Your Life Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I was bullied all through high school, and that made me hate my life, hate going to school, and hate getting up in the morning. Reading this made me take a step back and realize I was being hateful to people who didn't deserve it. Everyone is fighting their own battle and I had no reason to be mean to people who didn't deserve it. If you've read the book, you understand. If you haven't read it, you NEED to read it. It brought tears to my eyes and it changed my life. Day 5: A Book You Could Not Get Through My Life at Rose Red: The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer by Stephen King. I have read several of Stephen King's books and have enjoyed every single one, with the exception of this one. I don't know what it was about it, but I read about 100 pages of it (because that's how long I give myself to see if I like the book or not) and I couldn't do it. I don't really know why I couldn't finish it. But, there was nothing about it I liked. I'm not trashing Mr. King by any means what so ever. He is by far my favorite author. But this wasn't something I could enjoy, and it saddens me a little.
