📕The book I read this weekend: SILENCE by Shusaku Endo, my best favorite Medievalist besides Umberto eco. ❣🌹 🔕 SILENCE 🔕 is set in Japan in the early 17th century in the Edo period. It is about how thousands of people struggle to defend their faith. from children to the elderly, brutally tortured, crucified to death, hung upside down in a dark hole with their scalps slashed so that blood was dripping for days, stripped naked and doused with boiling water ... all the torments were only intended to make them deny their faith .. .! ✍ At the end the main question in the book is: can man defend his belief against cruel prosecution? and is it true that God is silent? where is God? Where is the God they love? ✍ I have not finished reading this book, I honestly doubt whether I can read it to the end. ✍ I am 60 years old, I am also battered because I defend my faith. I see irrefutable evidence that being a criminal is definitely easier ... you just need to throw away your morals and deny all responsibility. ✍To be a good person you not only have to fight evil, but must fight your own fears ... however, I still choose to be a good person🙏❣ ✍Yes ... from outside the fence you will only see the flame of successful and prosperous ... but no no no, come closer , then you will see my body is full of scars, my soul is bleeding against evil, betrayal, fraud. ✍You will also see countless times I wanted to give up, countless times I begged to die ... but here I am ... still alive and still have to fight "to be a good person"❣ ✍How about you? what is your story like in fighting for your life? ❣🌹❣🌹 Happy Weekend ❣🌹❣🌹 #zenwritingjournal #terapeuticwriting #selfmotivation #bookiread #pikoprose #pikobooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CK-bszlFui7/?igshid=pwj202f4y475
