What is your second favourite book and why isn't it your favourite?

I don’t have one second-favorite book any more than I have a first favorite, but I think maybe I’d put the Song of the Lioness series in this slot? They’re such influential books to me but there are also so many things I hate about them... if Tamora Pierce didn’t love age gaps and white saviors I could love them without also being exasperated by them! But they can’t be unsullied favorites of mine anymore
