this post where I ran the numbers is now a year old but at that point the answer was:
a total of 83 character death fics that involve
47 different characters
in 17 different fandoms
since that time (checking date stamps), depending on if we count temporary deaths and ambiguous possible deaths (which in the original I included on a subjective basis), it is between 1-3 additional fics, 2 new characters in 2 new fandoms.
