Bookplates, or sometimes just called Ex Libris, are decorative labels designed to be put inside a book to show it’s ownership. Ex Libris is latin for “from the library of”, and is commonly inscribed along with the owner’s name and a decorative motif on the label.
On this version, the embellished elements are all hand cut and glued onto the bookplate to give it an extra level of richness.
