13: Whose behaviour made you appalled?

It's kind of difficult to decide what to put for this. For me to be appalled about someone's behaviour,  they've got to be pretty shocking on a near continual basis.

That said, I think there's a fairly good candidate here - many Western governments. Their recent approaches to social welfare and privacy have been pretty damn appalling.

25: What was your greatest musical discovery?

This year, i've admittedly not added too much music to my collection. That said, I have added a number of fantastic albums - including things such as the Macross Frontier soundtrack and a number of Touhou albums.

If I had to pick one new bit of music that I consider to be the greatest for this year though, it would likely have to be Alstroemeria Records Abandoned Dancehall album. It's the kind of music I really like, has amazing vocals and the tracks all blend seamlessly from one to another.

36: Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

Ach, difficult... the first thing that came to mind was;

Moving on up, nothing can stop me

but then the next lyric on that song is

You're moving on out, time to break free

So um, definitely not that song!

Fruit Pastilles. I love the sugary coating on the outside and then the inside is chewy and tasty :)

PRIMROSE: Favorite kind of soup?

Creamy vegetable. It's got to be thick though and croutons are not optional!

12. A song from your preteen years

This is slightly awkward... I didn't really listen to music in my pre-teen years. Heck, when I was a teenager I didn't even listen to much. It wasn't really until I was 17 that I developed a taste in music.

13: One of your favorite 80’s songs

There's a lot of good songs from the 80's. Naturally, it doesn't match the 'taste' of music in my library at all, but there's certainly some good stuff from back then.

Europe - The Final Countdown (1986). This always plays in my head whenever an examiner says "5 minutes left". Tudududu!

Queen - Numerous; you've got stuff like I Want To Break Free (1984) and Under Pressure, not to mention loads of other stuff from the 70s and before too. (Writing this post reminded me just how brilliant the video is for I Want To Break Free heh).

Bonnie Tyler - Holding Our For a Hero (1984). I think it's this video which cements this song among my favourite 80s.

I'm sure there's a ton more awesome 80s that i've missed out too...

29. A song that you remember from your childhood

Again, lack of taste while younger makes this really difficult. So either something popular from around then (Spice Girls etc), or something like Abba (!).

23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in?

Arabic is meant to be very interesting linguistically (for an English speaker) from what I've read online. Plus I figure I'm already on more than enough watchlists, that "suddenly became fluent in Arabic" won't be much of an addition. (Is my life goal to get on as many watch-lists as possible without breaking the law? Probably)

29. What's the name of your favourite restaurant?

Frankie&Benny's. I think. I do absolutely love it there.

50. Why do you have a tumblr?

Originally to see what the fuss was about / stalk people I knew who had one / to reblog pictures of cute people.

Now? I enjoy the asks, the original posts, the tumblrs I follow.... The endless reblogs with huge comment chains? Not so much.

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

Ahhhhh. Oh god. Ummm. When I was realllllly young I can remember Rosie&Jim. Slightly older: Rugrats, Recess, Bernard's Watch, Cardcaptors, Sailor Moon. Art Attack The Simpsons Older still: Sabrina the Teenage Witch. 

I really can't choose between any of them!

17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

Depends on what kind of accent? yorkshire? How about no. A southern drawl could be quite nice. But there's not really anything wrong with my current accent.

45. Do you usually remember your dreams in the morning?

No. Very occasionally I will vividly remember a dream, and it will stick with me for years and years. I can still remember some of the dreams I had when I was a child.  It tends to be that I either won't remember any, or I will remember for absolutely ages. It's rare that I remember a dream for a day or so and then forget.

Jennifer Lawrence. Or maybe Ellen Degeneres?

Do you know a hoarder?

Not that I know of. Well, not a like an extreme hoarder. I think everyone hoards things from time to time, then has a clear out, so you can start again.

3 - Which anime made you laugh the hardest?

Hm, difficult. There's not many anime i've watched where humour was the main aspect (and of of the ones were humour was the aspect, ahem Kill Me Baby, were terrible).

If I was nominating one which made me laugh lots thought, it'd probably be Lucky Star or Nichijou, and to be honest, probably the latter more than the former.

There are certainly some where one particular scene has made me laugh out loud, but sadly I can't remember in particular. Possibly some of Tomoya's pranks in Clannad?

16 - What is your favorite ecchi anime?

I don't really watch much that's considered ecchi. I've seen...

Of the ones i've watched, Dokuro-chan wasn't one I picked up by choice (and I still blame our mutual friend for it), but it was pretty hilarious in the end. (In hindsight, this is a good candidate for question 3)

Highschool of the Dead was promising, I really wanted it to be 'Left 4 Dead: The Anime', unfortunately it wasn't. However, it kept tempting you along each episode going "they'll be zombies and more apocalypse stuff next episode, we promise".

Henneko (and no, i'm not going to state its full name), was actually fairly tasteful (!). As I mentioned in my Day 5 post (Anime you're ashamed you enjoyed), Henneko was fairly light on some of the traditional ecchi tropes, had a plot behind it and was actually quite funny. I wrote that post while it was originally airing, and it did get slightly more ecchi afterwards, but still quite enjoyable overall.

25 - What is an anime you regret watching?

Hm, generally I only drop an anime if it's really bad - even the not-so-good series i'll watch through to the end.

I think Lost Universe wins this question. Aside from the opening, it's a pretty terrible series that somehow manages to have filler nested in filler. The only reason I ended up watching this all the way through was through running the anime screenings for the SciFi society at uni, another committee member had put this up for screening and then didn't turn up to a single screening of it. Had I been watching this on my own, i'd have dropped it pretty quickly. (Interestingly, that screening has gone down as the lowest attended anime screening in recent history for the society, I think there were just 7 or 8 people still watching on the final week, compared to 25+ for our screenings the same semester of Utawarerumono and Spice and Wolf.)
