I actually enjoyed reading this for the most part.
The blurb was intriguing and had me really interested.

It’s a story about a young girl Susie who was murdered by a serial killer who everyone just assumed was a lonely creepy man. She’s in heaven watching her family, friends and her killer live through her absence. Her killer wasn’t hidden from us the readers so there was little to no suspense other than the process of her family and the detective trying to figure out who her killer really is. It was super frustrating tho because it started off so well but got a bit boring in the middle. Thankfully, it picked up at the end again.

I’m sha glad to be done with it. Off to watch the movie!
The seven year slip by Ashley Boston
Romance novels are often light reads that almost make you believe in love again, this did that and some more. I loved every aspect of The Seven Year Slip and I’ll tell you why.
I rarely encounter books that delve into aunt-niece relationships, so this aspect of the story was genuinely refreshing. It sort of reminded me of the bond I have with my nephews, and I hope I'm that person for them.
The friendships were incredibly sweet, and the fact that they're work friends?
Now, let's dive into the love story – the kind that transcends time, that soulmate connection that tugs at your heartstrings. It also beautifully explores the idea of staying true to yourself through growth and inevitable changes.
I wholeheartedly recommend this read.
Themes explored are - Grief, love, friendships, travel, mental health, and growth.
