Wedding Bells? More like... Gun Shots???

Someone said to draw the og pic as any v!abolish ship and if someone did booklocke they need a version where they both have the gun, I've been thinking about it ever since until I had time to do it. Decided to just give them both a gun, they both deserve it anyways.

a while back I started thinking about what fairytale-adjacent au I could make to stick these two in. after careful consideration this lead me to I begin developing an au loosely based around the movie Enchanted (2007)

it's one of my favorite films and i realized how giselle and robert coded v!shelby and v!abolish are, plus i really wanted draw them dancing together so it felt really fitting

i'm not sure i'll post too much more about it, i have some ideas down for the au already, but don't want to promise more than i could provide, perhaps a post with the general idea laid out

ok so i came up with this second, less angsty, hurt/comfort booklocke idea about how they bring up v!shelby’s ep. 7 death while i was finishing the longer one, (linked here if you havent checked it out and want to) and it kinda spiraled out of control but i hope y’all enjoy this one too

for this one i imagine it can be done at any point in their relationship, (more likely early stages or when they’ve been steady for a bit) during one of the annual visits to oakhurst, v!shelby and v!abolish are by themselves, walking around the town and seeing what’s changed and what’s stayed the same. when they’re walking through the castle, shelby (who has as this point already forgiven him) says in a joking manner while gesturing toward the catacomb/tomb entrance, “hey remember that time you killed me when i was by myself and rather harmless, good times” and then he stops in his tracks to look at them only somewhat visibly mortified about what they said. he’s always felt terrible about that especially after they started going out but didn't know how to bring it up. so now he starts trying to apologize to which she has to say that it’s fine. she gets it that he was trying to get out of there as much as everyone else was, and aside from the occasional nightmares, they’ve already forgiven him/are over it. that doesn’t have the intended effect they hoped it would because now abolish is worried about what shelby means about the nightmares.

so then shelby has to explain that sometimes they have bad dreams/nightmares of her time in oakhurst. the dreams are not always about him and are usually very exaggerated/distorted, but when they do have one about when she dies to him, she’s okay because they know he wouldn’t do that them, at least not now/anymore. she’s not afraid anymore, the two of them are okay now, they’re together now, and that’s what matters. abolish still insists on making it up to her somehow, much to shelby’s dismay, and so she once again brings up the shadow organization (half joking, half serious) if she could join. he once again says no (though he does take a brief moment to consider it this time much to shelby’s internal delight) and instead offers numerous date ideas

now here is where it becomes an excuse for me to list some of my fav examples of date ideas ive seen/came up with, which include:

shooting/gun range

bowling/arcade

cafe/nighttime roof picnic

bookstore/reading date

baking

(ballroom) dancing
