If Scott/Pyro/Abolish gets in I think this should qualify too. Anyways, in my head this is either two queerplatonic besties and their shared girlfriend they both adore or a sapphic polycule. I don’t make the rules.

okay but listen. their relationship is one of, if not THE, emotional crux(es) of their collective povs!! they were the the first real friend group in the series, and also one of the healthiest imo. not to mention, there’s something that’s so mwah about the tragedy of thinking you’ll have eternity with someone only for it to be ripped away. the curse of immortality or something idk. but just think of how excited they were to explore the world together !!! and then avid died and that’s what really pushed cryptidclues over the edge !!! think of everything they’re willing to do for one another.

two traumatized suicidal outcasts, they would either somehow manage to heal together or make eachother a bajillion times worse while watching the world burn around them (latter option is way more likely). they are both severly mentally ill and they are going to make it everybody elses problem (they already have and are in superhell together, superhell situationship). (also, 18 fics on ao3 IS CRIMINAL WORK.) (also also, hot take: these two are more of a mirrors of eachother than owen and avid,,,,) (this may have been submitted already but im spreading the lumberjack propaganda regardless. everybody get more lumberjack-pilled NOW!!!! 18 fics IS NOT ENOUGH)

They can literally be as toxic or as non-toxic as you want them to be. Owen was there in the beginning to help Pyro out, they had a bit of a rough patch in the middle, but as soon as they had a common enemy, they started working together. Owen said multiple times after they teamed up that he wanted to kill Pyro, but also, he stood in front of them after they said that they killed Avid.

What’s more beautiful than seeing two fucked up little guys bond over similar yet wildly different pasts after they murder a shared enemy? Also, there is so much potential for them in the afterlife, they could date forever in hell

This might actually fix them, and I am personally of the belief that they should've kissed over Avid's corpse. They also hate each other yet narratively parallel each other. Need I say more?

THE THEM <3333 their dynamic is so yummy already and its also very good if they get a bit romantical with it yk

They're just a gang! They care about each other and are trying to protect eachother and maybe they've been pulled into a cult and maybe they're reinforcing that indoctrination to each other but it's fine!! They have each other's back, they'll be there for eachother! R̶i̶g̶h̶t̶?̶ ̶

Their relationship is integral to all three pov’s and developments. And even 200 years later, Drift and Shelby are still visiting his grave every year.

Also also another good fic is Haunted eyes my broken heart by Inkwell_Sp_ace also on ao3. Hella slow burn tho. There’s more ofc but all you need to know is Bloodletting + Lovebitten + (the name for LouisxLegundo) and all their glorious chemistry = Trustbites!!

Normally, Legundo and Owen are mutually and self destructive ppl with anger issues (suppressed and not so much) who will kill each other (no, legs, you can't fix something if there's nothing to fix, and I mean "nothing" in a very negative way). But then, you plop these two upon the lap of a sunshine that is Louis. Louis, who has Owen melting and being motivated to live with his sole presence, who is the only thing that will ever be able to get the younger vamp to DO BETTER, especially towards his own self. Louis, who likely has the life experience and the pure if hardened heart to see Doc, see through him, and gently claw out that pride that had once been fueled by hate, and light that pride nice and bright with sheer love. In other words, I am a sucker for observing a happy ending of an angst train wreck, where the passengers are so traumatised that they have no idea what to do with this... This GOOD. The Bois deserve better – all three of them, because Louis deserves a childhood, deserves to feel included and belonging, deserves to be alive and well for what and who he is, not for what he can offer, and Owen deserves to feel appreciated and loved and respected for who he is and what he does, and Legs deserves a rest and the right to love himself and be loved by others. Like, put them in a cuddle puddle with hot cocoa and an enormous weighted blanket. Or two, so they can cuddle on the floor without the cold hating at Legs' old bones and Owen's ancient scars and Louis' warmth-loving soul

The oldest polyship (to my knowledge) and the best. We have both the delicious drama of Legs x Owen, and the wholesomeness of Louis x Owen. And we have Louis x Legs, which is a completely unexplored in cannon dynamic but could be great fun. The fluff potential is immense.

Part 4 of Series Where I Make Various Vampires SMP Characters Out Of Tinfoil Until I Lose Motivation™

Character 4 is Drift! With that, I've finished and posted the 2006 vampires+Avid, which was my initial goal when I started working on this project in December. Now that goal has expanded to making everyone. At this point, I've started making the 7th character, Owen (no poll this time because he already lost the last 2 lol). I'm hoping to post the next character (Pyro) pretty soon as well!

Here's the full outfit :3 I'm especially happy with the way her boots ended up

Initially Drift was going to have both of her arms leaning on the chair, but then I realized that she wasn't interacting with Avid at all, so I changed her arm so they could hold hands <3 I love their dynamic so much I couldn't have them not interact

Every character comes with their own challenges when making them and Drift was obviously no different. Her pose is much less complicated than the other vampires', except for the fact that her hand kind of blocks her face, which made that part a bit more difficult

Her color scheme is also very different from the vsmp characters I'd made before her, with a lot of different shades of brown, which is always difficult since I'm pretty limited in my color palette

Fun fact: when making a character, the hair is usually the last part I make, which means that every character goes through a bald phase

Owen associates sickness with death. Owen saw and heard of plenty of people die from sickness, and any sickness he caught would nearly kill him, and so no matter how much he really really doesn't want anyone to know, seeing people he wants alive sick scares him.

And, Avid... Avid runs around in the worst weather known to man and probably has a generally bad immune system. So he definitely gets sick at least once a month.

The first time Owen sees him sick, it's probably after a few days of Avid being holed up and Owen is... definitely not worried. Nope. But he still makes use of that invitation from his freak out over the old hospital and goes in through the window and Avid wakes up to Owen shaking him and looking freaked out and Owen says he was just hungry. And then starts talking about how no, sick person blood is disgusting, Avid can keep his stupid blood.

But he doesn't leave. He denies this, says Avid was dreaming it, but he does stay, and forces the medicine that Shelby brings down Avids throat, quite literally. No amount of being around Legundo could give this freak beside manner. He shoves that down and threatens that if Avid throws them up he'll rip out his throat. Avid doesn't like how hot that idea is.

Owen (worst caretaker ever. Negative bedside manner) + shubbledrift (kinda good at caretaking. But they seem like angels when the other guy helping you is actively threatening your life at any given point)

Avid is in bed with the flu sick as a dog and lurches awake to Owen clinging to the ceiling like a spider with his head fully rotated around to stare at Avid (not vampire ability, Owen was hypermobile in life) (that's not how hypermobility works but Owen and Avid are equally dramatic and would Call it that even if he's just twisting) and shrieks like a banshee. Owen goes "oh, you're not dead yet. Pity. You were so quiet I was starting to hope." and leaves right as Drift bursts in (because Avid screamed)

Avid writes it off as Owen being threatening and being a Supervampire (Avid forgot about Shelby saying "everyone can come to our place tonight! or later, whenever you feel like it!" while Owen was around) and then Owen shows back up when he's debating not taking his meds because they taste really bad and offers to tear his tongue out if taste is such a concern. Avid flails himself out of bed and Owen grabs him by the collar and puts him straight back. (Avid finds this embarrassingly hot and is just sick enough to admit that. Owen immediately erases this from his memory.)

Shelby and Drift are not perfect caretakers, but next to Owen anyone would look good. He's threatening Avid with bodily harm if he gets up and Drift is politely asking him to leave and Shelby is helping Avid calm down from the panic attack Owen's presence (unexpected) (sudden vampire) (2am) (vampire in house at 2am CLINGING TO CEILING) brings.
