Get down with a Cold!
Good afternoon my fellow fitness lovers,
Today, I wanted to talk about how working out can help you feel better when you are feeling like you have a cold. You are probably thinking that is the last thing you want to do when you have a runny nose and have a headache. However, according to EveryDay Health, you can workout with a cold if you A: have the energy to workout, B: If you symptoms are mild and C: If you have been fever free for 24 hours. “When you are sick, the most important thing to do is to listen to your body” (Everyday Health). This past week has been hard making my cycle classes because I was not feeling well and was catching a bad cold. This past Friday, I forgot that I had a 7am class and woke up not feeling great. I was debating if I wanted to cancel my class but I really didn’t want to get a late fee ( because ya girl is in college and that $10 can be a meal or used for something else) Who else can relate?! and also I already did a late cancel on Tuesday so I knew I had to get up and go.
I knew that it was going to be a rough class because of how I was feeling. However, riding that morning made me feel a lot better! The biggest mental roadblock was getting out of bed and getting to Cyclebar. I know I made the right decision that morning. The positive energy in the studio got me through that ride. If you ever have a cold and you have a workout class that you signed up for, I recommend going. If you can just get there, you will feel better. You will feel accomplished and be proud of yourself! Go get your sweat on!
Till next time,
