Boost VC Investment in Blockchain Startups Tops $50 Million
Boost VC has released new figures about its investments in startups focusing on bitcoin and the blockchain. The San Mateo incubator, which has pledged to invest in 100 industry startups through 2017, revealed in a Medium post this week that it has invested in 52 bitcoin and blockchain companies since its founding in 2012.

Boost VC Graduation
Leet just completed a three month intensive start-up acclerator program, Boost VC, in Silicon Valley. It was an incredibly exciting opportunity for us to be part of this program along with 24 other great bitcoin companies.
We spent our time there in a basement co-working space building and testing our website, living off Red Bull, and eating Ramen Noodles. We had the opportunity to work with and collaborate with some of the most creative and brilliant entrepreneurs in the bitcoin field, as well as learn from mentors assigned to help us reach that “next step”. Being around all these amazing people, and watching them work all day everyday inspired us to be our best, and work harder than ever. It’s crazy for us to look back and see where we are now, and to see how far we have come in the past three months. This is directly related to the environment and to the amazing leadership team that is Boost. Adam Draper and Brayton Williams taught us by example, and let us know success comes directly from the amount of work you put into it.
We have been incredibly lucky to spend so much time with all of these awesome people, and the relationships we have built will last a lifetime.

Leetcoin was just accepted into Boost VC, a San Mateo based bitcoin startup accelerator. It’s really exciting for us to be joining this program along with 24 other great companies.
Throughout the course of the program we hope to be able to grow and learn under the tutelage of some great mentors in the gaming and tech sectors. We can’t wait to show you what we are working on!

Adam Draper bets on Bitcoin in the Philippines with Palarin

Silicon Valley venture capitalist Adam Draper is spicing up the Bitcoin scene in the Philippines.
Palarin, among the latest batch of startups accelerated by Draper’s Boost VC, launches today, enabling users to remit money to the Philippines from overseas using Bitcoin and to do so more cheaply than conventional money transfer services.
Palarin converts Bitcoins to Philippine pesos and distributes remittances to recipients through a number of options. Like other Bitcoin remittance services, Palarin allows users to send even small amounts without paying hefty service fees.

BoostVC
Yesterday, the LehighSiliconValley group had the wonderful opportunity to visit BoostVC in San Mateo. There, Adam Draper graciously provided us with a tour of the successful accelerator and enlightened us during a Q&A session. During the session we learned a lot about the Bitcoin companies that his accelerator invests in, and also learned about the Draper family in general. Adam was a very intriguing individual, and it was inspiring to see such a young person being a prominent part of the entrepreneurial world. We learned from him that even at a young age, we can have a presence in this exciting and upcoming field.
