Boost Your Brain Performance. Motivate Yourself To Do Sports.
Sport and physical activity participation have a positive impact on your physical and mental health. They are also thought to lead to an enhancement of cognitive functioning, maintaining focus, memory, concentration, multi-tasking and working goal achievement. It further influences your current behaviour since you tend to feel more relaxed and balanced. Regular sport activities or just some small exercises in your office will help to keep you motivated and to better perform for your remaining tasks. Do it and you will feel the difference.
Doing sports increases your blood flow to the brain andthereby improves your mind’s overall clarity. Moreover it boosts your level of serotoninand dopamine, better known as your “feel good hormones”.
Don’t worry about immediately enrolling yourself in a gymclass, even a short walk outside can help you. It also could be a 20 minute run, bike ride,or other similiar activities in the morning of any day in which you have highintellectual demands. It doesn’t have to be hard or make your legs, arms, orlungs burn. Just do enough to get your heart beating and your blood flowing. Inthis case harder is not better and could actually leave you excessivelyfatigued. Start slowly, you can intensify the degree of difficulty later. Youwill know it, when you are able to do so.
In a nutshell the reasons, that sport contributes to mental performance enhancement are:
1. Exercise can increase your levels of a brain power.
2. Exercise can stimulate nerve growth.
3. Exercise and regular physical activity increase blood flow to the cortex of the brain.
4. Exercise improves concentration, attention and reasoning ability.
5. Exercise leads to improvement in cognitive control.
But even if your work site doesn't engage in routine hourly breaks, there are things you can do at your desks to break up a day of inactivity and get moving, even if just for a few minutes. Look at this video to get inspired with some small exercises. It is very easy to start and looks quite normal. So that is all of what you need to know. Try it out tomorrow and get it started to improve your personal performance.
Cheers, Your Motivation.
