Solution to: "Boot Failed... Your system may be overclocked" error
Your next day of Boot problems is "Boot Failed... Your system may be overclocked, check your settings and set to default..." which has almost driven me mad, because the result is that OS does not load and freezes on the BIOS load up:
1.) The BIOS fails to load and thus the OS (e.g. Windows) fails to load as a result of the warning of Overclocking.
2.) The CAUSE of the problem seems to vary from machine to machine. In the best case scenario, your Motherboard's main bus seemed to have build a some residue current and thus creates a overclocking mechanism. The worst case scenario, is that your CPU (processor) seems to be degrading and needs to be replaced because of ware and tear.
Some of these solutions may not work, but COULD possible work to fixed the overclocking errors:
1.) The simplest solution is to Shut down your computer and leave the computer to discharge the current away from the Main Cooling Fan. If you want to be sure, disconnect the main power cord and start pressing the power on button to fail initiating the desktop computer. Between 45 minutes to 3 hours the current should have dissipated.
2.) This one is more complicated... you need to disconnect the power from your computer. Open the Fan side hood of your desktop computer. Find the heat sink area of your Processor (not the motherboard). The microprocessor should be attached to the motherboard. Clean it with either some Coolant liquid or with an anti-static brush. This should clean the clocking problems with the fan.
3.) This method can be dangerous. Repeat the (2) process, except make sure that no IDE or ATI male/female power cables are touching the fans. There should be 3 located one at the graphics card, the motherboard, and the microprocessors. This process is to check if any objects or wires were obstructing the fans. This could have lead to overclocking issues. Next, during the next startup you can manage to press the "DEL" key to enter the BIOS, find the option to disable "WARNING for fan speed" setting and set to DISABLE. Assuming that your Motherboard has a battery that is not drained, this may fix the problem. Use this method at your own risk!
