I can’t help getting a bit pissed off when people refer to this character as “Doctor Zaius”. He’s not! He’s COUNCILLOR Zaius. He’s a politician, not a scientist. Some wags have even suggested that this Zaius is the same characer as the Dr Zaius who appeared in the first two classic Apes films, played by Maurice Evans. This is obviously a load of honk. For one thing, they lived nearly a thousand years apart! They lived in different parts of the USA and different timelines! Never call him “Doctor” Zaius!
