Oh so now that people are comparing Tinashe monthly listeners to girlset, Bootlets are saying that comparing their numbers are pointless now. Because Tinashe has been in the industry for years while girlset just rebranded.. but if Tinashe was really a flop, her numbers would still be low even if she was in the industry for years. And girlset was in the industry for 3 years at this point (they just changed their name) and streams from VCHA still count for them (at they do on YouTube).

The gag is that this makes girlset look even worse. They got got so much promo for that trash ass song (videos of it popping up in peoples’ feeds, billboards, etc) and yet it still was met with poor numbers. Meanwhile, Tinashe isn’t from a million dollar company like they are and didn’t have any promo for her song.

It’s amazing how these stans keep on making up stuff about people’s criticism of the two. They have nothing to say the colorism, the active erasure of dark skin black woman in Hollywood or anything like that. They always bring up the “tragic biracial” narrative.
