Building a Beard Startup
Many years ago I decided that a clean shave was no longer for me and I started to start the life of a man with a beard. It wasn’t until after moving to Texas from Oregon where I met a guy who became a friend of mine and he introduced me to using beard oil. As weird as it sounded at first I decided to give it a try.
I enjoyed using the first beard oil I tried, but it just seemed a little too oily, and I knew that there had to be something better out there. I tried other well known beard oils and was still disappointed in the way the scents either went away a half hour application or the fact they many seemed to be using low-grade oils that did nothing for my skin or beard.
So, after a year of testing and some serious research I have come to develop my own beard oil. I was always taught growing up that something worth doing is worth doing right the first time. So, even though I have been thinking about starting my own business around beard care products, I am happy to say that I am finally ready to “open the doors” so to say on some of what I believe to be some of the best beards oils on the market.
With a couple loose ends to tie up before I open the business for online orders, I have been conducting market research with some testers who seem anxious for me to start selling as well, as the feedback has been more than acceptable.
I WILL NOT say that there is a miracle to what I am doing. I will, however say that I am driven to produce great products, Not just for hipsters, not just for lumberjacks, not just for motorcycle enthusiasts, but instead for the every-man who has facial hair. You don’t have to have a beard that would make ZZ Top jealous, you just have to have facial hair, and the desire to care for yourself and give your skin and facial hair the best products. Let’s face it, your face deserves it.
