Ik I’ve been a little Political On Main ™ lately but seven months into Biden's presidency, thousands of children and adults continue to be tortured inside U.S. border camps.
And I’m terrified about what we will find there in thirty years when someone invariably digs. We are in covid times and many undocumented families aren’t reunified due to “paperwork issues”. Hated Trump but at least people cared about this stuff when he was doing it.
I also honestly don’t know what to do about this to take action. There’s nothing to boycott. Nothing to do from Massachusetts save donating to people on the ground doing legal work or providing aid, but what else? Feels so woefully inadequate.
I also really feared and suspected this would continue under Biden but Trump would’ve been worse so I don’t regret my vote. But shite how did it get so bad here? How did this country get to the point where someone can’t reasonably regret a vote for a man who fails to take action against glorified concentration camps??
