"We do not believe in the power of weapons. Violence leads to violence and lasting change is made by society, not by oppressive cultural imperialism. On an international level our role should be much more that of a friend, instead of an enemy. We’re scared, so we sadly tend to forget that. Now we can either violently force those cultures to be like us or we can peacefully support them in finding their very own way."
The post for today is about a portrait of Afganistan and their people. The project "Border Movement" is an initiative facilitating the cultural exchange between South Asia and Germany throughout connecting its music scenes. Giving young people the opportunity to get together, to start something new, to collaborate regardless of physical borders.
This approach is fascinating as the major news we hear in the western countries are of political nature. And these news are barely in favor of the country. The film shows the beauty of the country's scenery and portraits the friendly people without any prejudices.
