Ow... James wasn’t sure what had happened. One minute he’d been working in the small temporary shack he called home for now and the next he’d felt a searing pain in his head and passed out. He felt slow, groggy and eased himself up with a shake of his head.

“... how long was I out?” He thought aloud, pulling back his sleeve to check his watch. 

An hour, sure he’d had glitches before but nothing like that! Maybe a self diagnostic was in order. Easing himself unsteadily to his feet James picked up his fallen chair and sat at his laptop, plugging the wire into his port to do an in-depth scan. Better safe than sorry.

James blinked in surprise at the generosity, but a grateful smile came soon after and an understanding nod. He didn’t look that old for a parent, then again his child didn’t look old either. “Could we get onions, peppers and pepperoni? I... it feel weird taking it for free.” He admitted sheepishly, “also know anywhere fairly safe to stay the night? We’re just passing through.”

"Git BACK ya culty devils!" He's got a shotgun and he's not afraid to use it. Even though he's not the BEST shot-- he TRIES. Wainwright saw some folks in danger and damn if he couldn't help himself when it came to savin' their asses.

James had kept Hannah close, all they’d been after was a few supplies when the cultists jumped them. Far as he knew they jumped anyone who didn’t smell like death and wasn’t screaming about God queens.

He hadn’t expected some older fella jumping in with a shotgun taking down the last load that James hadn’t managed to get a decent shot in. His ECHO eye scanned over the man, trying to identify him.

“Daddy? Who’s he?” Came the little voice of his daughter, James readjusted her in his arms as he lowered his pistol a bit, but kept it out in case this wasn’t a friend.“Not sure sweetheart.” He spoke softly and quietly to her, “Uh... thanks for the backup... names James... who are you?”

It as rare James and his child would exit his makeshift fortress, but they were low on supplies and he wasn’t going to leave her all alone there. So he’d made the drive with her across the wastelands to the nearby town to restock on a few things.

While in the town James had treated his child to a rakk burger while he spoke to one of the vendors, the little girl perched on a wall not far from him as she swung her legs, arms covered by long sleeves on her jumper. 

That’s when she noticed a skag sniffing about, though it didn’t look like your average skag no, this one had a cute bandanna around its neck and robot eyes. She hadn’t seen one up close before and this one looked like it belonged to someone. “Hi boy, you want some?” She asked quietly, tearing a chunk from her burger to gently toss it to land in front of it.

Hannah was entertaining herself while her father dug in piles of scrap not far from her. He needed a few materials for projects and what better place than an abandoned scrapyard. There was no sign of bandits so Hannah had summoned her little orb friend she affectionately named ‘Sparky’ to float around and chirp happily. 

She was only a little thing; brunette and dressed in comfortable warm clothes, siren tattoos only just visible from under her sleeve. Her father was dressed similarly, a gun strapped to his hip but his hair instead was blond. As far as they were aware no one was around.

//based on the anons earlier message I was thinking the smol could have Phase-form; the ability to create temporary items/creatures for a limited amount of time. It won’t remain in the physical realm unless it turns into solid immobile crystal. Useless unless you want something solid around or that looks like a pretty crystal

could be useful if the smol wanted to make a wall or if she wanted her floaty ball ‘Sparky’ around. or if she wanted to be a sculpture.

But what do you guys think?

He normally didn't let people SIT on him-- let alone RIDE. But Hannah was small. And she was really nice to him. So he didn't mind at all-- rolling around with her on top, trying his best to avoid tripping so she wouldn't get hurt. Finally! Someone LIKED him! He really didn't want to mess this up.

While her father was wary of Claptrap he knew they’d been discontinued by Hyperion. He had no affiliation with them and with strict rules that she wasn’t to wander off anywhere hazardous he allowed her to hang out with the odd little robot/

Considering Hannah herself had no friends Claptrap was fun to hang around with, yes he was cocky, overconfident and never shut up but Hannah didn’t mind.
