Tannith headcanons - Touch

• Tannis takes a long time to get used to the physical side of a relationship. Even after it becomes easier, she often spends hours working herself up to a point where she can go surprise Lilith with a hug or other physical display

• Her hands are the most sensitive, Tannis can actually handle a sudden hug or touch better as long as her own hands aren't touched in the process

• Lilith on the other hand is all about hands, the most of her affection is displayed through lingering touches, running fingers through hair, etc

• One of her favorite things to do when the two of them are just chilling alone together is to take what little hair Tannis has and put it in a tiny, dumb-looking ponytail. It makes her laugh and can dispel a lot of her stress just to see Tannis look so done with the whole thing. Lilith just really likes playing with her hair

• Along the previous lines, if Tannis is in the middle of any sort of anxiety attack then touching her hands only makes things worse. During moments like these Lilith knows to carefully touch/massage her upper back about where her Siren wings manifest until she calms down

• It takes a long time for Lilith to be able to affectionately pay attention to Tannis' siren tattoos, with kisses, etc. Its not that she's jealous that she lost her powers and this other person still has them, but more that of a raw wound where it reminds Lilith too much of what she has lost

• Tannis is far stronger than she looks and that's something that Lilith is prone to forgetting. Her instincts are to shield Tannis, to help her up if she falls, to insist she stay away from unnecessary danger. Sometimes it causes arguments, but Lilith is getting better at understanding that Tannis is tough as nails and can stand on her own two feet

• Lilith, despite all her strength and bravado, quite likes being the little spoon. Which works out since Tannis doesn't always like the feeling of someone pressing in behind her and thus usually prefers being the big spoon. But their favorite way to sleep is facing each other, foreheads touching and legs tangled together

• Although, Tannis took a very significant amount of time to reach that point. Before that she still liked to face Lilith when they shared a bed, but preferred it when they weren't touching (something very difficult for Lilith, who has a tendency to cling like a koala in her sleep)

• Since Tannis isn't fond of things on her hands, and bc she wears gloves which would probs make it difficult, when Lilith proposes she puts Tannis' ring on a chain so she can wear it without it causing her discomfort. After a few years she does the same to her own ring, so that they match
