Okay, quick change stations. I've got some things about them, I want say.
It's treated as normal to change your appearance in the fly. Like, none presumably doesn't bat an eye when you change your hair from dull brown to light green. Or if you change your facial appearance. (Like, that's nuts.)
But, as it's confirmed in tales from the borderlands you can scan people's appearances.
Okay, so this pretty much opens an world of possibilities. You could basically scan an celebrity and walk around as them. Or you scan your friend, that's a great prank right there. But, I'd like to focus on two things self-exploration and identify theft.
Let's start with self-exploration. As I like to believe Lorelei actually did this. They felt like trying it out and that's how they figured it out. And they even mentioned in one of their echo logs. About how you can change your appearance in the quick change station and such. But it wasn't full experience. Getting sidetracked here. My point you can try things before making it final.
Then to the identity theft. It's so easy. Well, easy-ish. Rhys scanned Vazquez face which then allowed him to look like him. So, does this mean you have to scan the person's actual face or is an picture alright? I believe an picture is alright. So, let's say I scanned a picture of Moxxi on to my quick change account. I could walk around as her, get the voice modulator Rhys' had and wham. I'm pretending to be Moxxi. You could so easily pull someone's reputation trhu the dirt and they'd have no idea why it has happened.
That was my Ted talk about quick change stations. Thanks for coming.
