So what you are saying is that if the Borg Chickens happen to make it out of their coop and run, I shouldn't blame you right away, but still suspect you? I can do that.

Also, the coop tried to take me hostage today. After I had finished filling up their water I turned to open the door, still bent over because that roof is low, and the eye that keeps it locked caught some of my hair that was hanging out of my bun and tried to keep me hostage. It was an interesting day.

Alright, who want's to hear about the time I locked myself in the chicken coop and had to MacGuyver my way out using a stray tail feather before the chickens decided to assimilate me into the collective? Fun times, people. Fun times.

I have thick hair. Really thick hair. Sure, it looks like I shaved a small animal after practically every brushing, but I will never go bald!

I am a master at putting together furniture. 

I am a pretty good cook. I make a killer Biscuits and Gravy, Apricot and Rosemary Chicken, and the softest, chewiest Chocolate Chip Cookies I have ever tasted. I also make my own bread, but that is a hit or miss depending on how much aggression I have to work out that day. Also, I just made Meringue Drops for the first time and they are beautiful. 

I can make pretty dead on animal sounds. Mario knows my purr and meow sounds by heart, I make clunking grumble noises to my chickens, and my horse neighing sound has caused many a splattered drink and coughing fit. I like to think this is the reason why animals seem to adore me above others.

My interests tend to run an inch wide and a mile deep. I like to really dig into the subjects that interest me. Just don't ask me about economics.

Why yes. Yes I do. Way more than I should have. Mostly Leghorns, with a couple Americana and Rhode Island Reds. My wonderful Borg Chickens.

This is a picture from last summer when I had gone outside to write under my walnut tree. They now have a much better looking and permanent run than the one they have here. I would much prefer to free range them, but alas their wings are not clipped and my backyard is not entirely enclosed. These ladies would find a way to flee.

It's a good thing the chickens don't expect me to look glamorous when I feed them in the morning.

There is a very peacefully simplicity in feeding the Borg Chickens in the morning. They still remember me and move as a collective when I call to them. Yes, it is still kinda creepy.

Also, WORDS! The wonders having a borrowed laptop (even if it does have the insanity known as Windows 8) can do for the muse. Linda is happy. Maybe I can actually start to crank out some stories while I am home.

My chickens don't quite know what to make of snow. It's freakin' hilarious to watch. This is the reason why farmers were so content on farms. They just watched their animals for entertainment.
