Star Trek Experience - Borg Invasion
I see from posts in the Tumblrverse that there was a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas this weekend. I suspect many ST fans never made it to Vegas when the Star Trek Experience was open at the Las Vegas Hilton. There was Quark's Bar, a TNG inspired motion ride, and my favorite part - the Borg Invasion. I recently ran across this video which details that part of it.
While the video does a decent job of capturing most of what happens, it doesn't convey the general creepiness that was designed into it. At different points, the set up would have everybody looking in one direction then suddenly in the other direction a Starfleet crew member would be grabbed by a drone. And then after you've been sprayed by the nano probes, you'd hear the voices of the collective whispering in your ears.
