Happily Ever After. Usually that means it's the end of the story. The Evil Queen or Wicked Witch has met their end. Prince Charming saved the Princess. Peace rains throughout the kingdom. Sometimes though, Happily Ever After doesn't last as long as we'd like.
It had been only 7 months since Virginia and Wolf came back to New York through the magic mirror. Somehow though it had felt a lot longer. The diner they ran together was bustling with business. It was different then when she had been waitressing before...She was happier somehow. Being engaged to the half-wolf cook may have been part of it. Virginia was stocking the last of the paper products, while Wolf was getting things ready for the morning crew the next day. When Virginia heard a small voice, "Hello? Virginia? I have a message...Virginia." Virginia looked up from what she was doing, but didn't see anyone. "Hello," she called, sounding uncertain. "The window. Come to the window." Virginia frowned but carefully did as the voice said. But all that was there was a bird... "Virginia, I have a message for you," the bird said in a high pitched voice. "His highness, King Wendell needs your assistance."
"Assistance?" Virginia didn't like the sound of that. Not if it was anything like last time. "Wolf! Come here! There's a message from Wendell," She called. If she was going to be doing Prince-eh King Wendell any favors, she wanted Wolf to be there.
