“Not unless he’s provoked. Even I wouldn’t dare temper his rage.” A pointed look at the Count was given. A silent warning, as it were. Cerberus was acting amiable now, but one too many jabs at him or attempts to keep Female from him would definitely anger him. They had that in common, at least. On his end, Cerberus stayed put even as he saw Female. His curly tail wagged, making his rear shake to and fro, until he finally sat down and lifted a forepaw, whining softly. “Hm. He’s loving, gentle..what’s not to like?”
Sure, Female was as big as one of Cerberus’ paws when he was in his ‘normal’ form. Their size difference was the only thing she’d been concerned about, but gods did find ways out of such predicaments. While the Count had taken more modern means to reach their meeting place, she’d simply…teleported there. It wasn’t like the mortals noticed. They rarely did, when divinity walked among them. Mostly because they were glued to their phones and laptops.
“Are you going to put her down, or will you punish her further?” She crouched down to pet the top of Cerberus’ head before carefully plucking one of the white petaled flowers that grew on the ground ( another one sprouted in its place ) and twisted the stem so that it wouldn’t fall off of Female’s ear. For a few seconds, at least. She would have made a flower crown for her, but she’d been too focused on helping Cerberus get used to his changed form. On helping Hades come to terms with the fact that his companion not only had a girlfriend but was also no bigger than his boot.
The Count sighed, knowing he couldn’t keep Female too long. If he did, he’d end up with piss on his leather wingtips. Even with his commands, Female squirmed to be close to her suitor. He hated knowing there was another man who would share Female’s affections. The Count was close to rejecting the offer and walking away from both, leaving Female to cry out her loss for a while.
But he wasn’t that kind of bastard.
Slowly, he put Female down and watched as she quickly made her way over to Cerberus. Female sniffed and licked at Cerberus’ face before she made a motion for him to dance and twirl together in a circle.
“I do not punish her, I teach her not everyone will stay long in her life. Why do you think I let her walk around? To see people come and go, but I will be here. Always.” He let his gaze flicker from Persephone back to the two dogs. “He’s fixed, isn’t he?”
