@bornbalance gets a starter and i’m crying about it :’)
maybe he expected sam to be a little surprised by his conceding, or at the very least pretend to be but she didn’t even react when he confirmed he was moving in with her. it just made sense, after everything they had been through together and apart, and with him kind of floating around without a soft place to land. it just made sense. and sam felt more like home to him than any house or apartment ever had. the idea had been living rent free in his mind ever since she brought it up. —and now the guest house was done. the walls were painted. everything was too pink, but he didn’t even care because it was moving in day. and that day just happened to be february fourteenth. okay so maybe he rushed to finish the painting for this occasion.
he had been holding her hand as they walked toward the guest house, but when they got close enough, he tugged her hand to get her to stop with him, then he winked and let go so he could hook an arm under her legs and pick her up bridal style, just like he promised. “if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this right,” he said, leaning in to steal a quick kiss before he carried her passed the threshold.
