Embroidered patches on my worn-out jeans.

Refusing to give up on these combats I rescued from the rag pile.

One area in particular is now on its fourth (fifth?) patch…

Stages of a mend, building up stars with stitching. The fabric had a very handy check woven into it, which I used to align the initial horizontal stitches. The pesky dart at the side was there already.

Yet more patches on patches.

These burgundy trousers are the fabric equivalent of medical donors. I’m down to the last few remnants.

A new patch; a new pattern. For this one, I stitched the white sections as normal, and then the red was woven through that.

I really want to play with this technique more and use some colour-changing thread, as the woven-through thread doesn’t need to be as hard wearing.
