Does the mixing of Sasuke and Sakura’s DNA give Sarada a family?
I was just watching the Sayonara Moontown ending because the Sasusaku thing that SS brainrots preach about got me curious and guess what I found. The sheer darkness and tender emotions of the song really got me.
This first one is self explanatory, Sasuke and Sakura DNA mixes up and Sarada is born.
And then we have this...
The kid obviously holds Sakura’s hand but the missing sleeve of Sasuke drifts away. This is so impactful in the terms of Sasuke’s obvious abandonment of Sarada for so long and her doubts and insecurity of Sasuke never being there in her life...just like his empty sleeve, his presence in her life is empty, fleeting and she could not grasp it.
This is immediately followed by
The part where Sarada really doubts if Sakura is even her mom. The alienation she feels even when she is with her mom and the emotional pain she feels when she sees the rest of her friends having a family where they belong, where they have their parent’s love and she cries- insecure, scared and lonely (because if we refer to this arc, Sakura really dodged all of her questions about Sasuke and really had a sort of a mental breakdown. That probably hurt Sarada the most, like she never knew her mom, like her family was not even real).
What is more curious about the second picture is that even Naruto’s family is missing! Coincidence? I think not!
And after this...
We have this. Naruto comforting her and Sarada deciding to get stronger, her insecurities a little diminished. She does come out strong after her talk with Naruto. When she feels the most connected to her parents, what an irony, really!
She sees this without her glasses. Sasuke with the Uchiha crest, young and she herself a little girl.
But when she puts on her glasses she sees this, a break in their relationship. Like literally a crack within Sasuke and Sakura’s relationship, which is further sort of shown to be exploited by the enemy.
But the 3rd installation and the last one has a change in tone, probably because Sas.says, “Because you exist Sarada!”
The family together...like it’s supposed to be sweet and all right? Like how SS stans have always wanted it to be, but then you notice something even more jarring- the missing Uchiha crest from Sasuke’s clothes. He does not even wear his crest anymore. The symbolism!
Hence this ending is not SasuSaku in any shape or form. If anything, this is an anti-SasuSaku ending, an ending for specifically Uchiha Sarada as obvious that can get. Sorry Sarada you might be their DNA but you are not part of Sas’s family, neither is Sakura. Sas’s Uchiha clan died with Itachi.
I guess the question this ending poses is whether just the mixing of your parents DNA make a family?
The answer to that...well it is your own perception!
P.S.- The animators really did SS even dirtier and took jabs at NH even more than Kishimoto did. I mean the sheer implication that Boruto is probably going through the same thing had me howling with laughter.
