Maybe he had been caught with an expression not entirely innocent. Maybe he had been around when he had seen the prince approaching and maybe he had known exactly where the mistletoe was hung. He tried to school his expression to its usual register letting his eyes drift upward to tell the prince why they were stopped under the archway. “If you are going to call me out for waiting around, do it now,” he chuckled. He looked at Julien, soft eyes drifting to his lips and then back to his eyes, his gaze asking for permission before he leaned close to place a kiss on his lips.

It had been a quick delivery to the castle, but on her way out she had spotted Boston. With the shop locked up, and the snow slowing sales, Lea had been blessed with some extra time, before she had to be back. Without any questions asked, she had grabbed her friend and drug him into the courtyard. Snow blanketing everything around them, Lea knew what had to be done, “Since you’re the keeper of the castle grounds and responsible for making it look pretty, I say we build a snow garden. It doesn’t have to be huge, but it does need to liven up the place. Do you know how unsatisfying it has become visiting the castle without seeing something other than snow? I don’t have to be back to the shop anytime soon, so let’s do the damn thing.” Laughing, she began rolling snow so she could start to form some kind of shape that resembled a shrub of sorts.

Ivan was used to snow but what fell in Moscow was nothing compared to up in the north here.  It was falling so thick that you could barely see out the window and the drafts were rising rapidly, leaving everyone stuck inside wherever they had been when it started snowing.  Usually Ivan was nice enough to step outside to smoke, but there was no going out in this and he was hankering for one.  Pulling his cigarette holder out of his pocket he flipped it open and looked over at the prince.  “Do you mind?”

Since snow had taken over most of the local land, Birdie had been stuck inside, except for the occasional trek down to the village to see her mother, who most days, heed warning that her daughter stay inside in the warmth. And while there was still plenty of the caste to explore, Birdie had longed to see something other than royal portraits, stones, and the overall grayness of some parts of the castle.

Wrapping up in her warmest clothes, she headed for the door with greenery on her mind. A quick, but cold, trek down to the greenhouse left Birdie feeling exhilarated and just overall happier being out of the castle. The warmth and humidity hitting her left her with a feeling of summertime in the middle of winter, and without hesitation, she slipped off her heavy coat and got to work doing various tasks around the greenhouse; a job not meant for royals, but one that the young Swede did with pride.

With Christmas time almost here, Lea had thought the idea of putting up Mistletoe just above the door of the chocolate shop would be fun. The possibilities of who could get caught up under the small sprig was endless. However, the thought hadn’t crossed her mind that she would be one of the victims caught up under the small green and red decoration herself. Kissing wasn’t something she did much of anymore, but in the spirit of Christmas, and her own customers egging her on, Lea complied. The victim? A royal she barely knew. However, ironically enough, he was the prince of Belgium.

Standing on her toes, Lea rested her hands on his shoulders and leaned in placing a sweet, small kiss on the man’s lips, before pulling away, “I just wanted to know if you tasted like chocolate…” With a small smile, Lea turned away from him and went back to her job, as if nothing had ever happened.

Daw ‘Ice’  Suwannarat.

Pim’s friend and first kiss.  It wasn’t exactly young love, Ice was a commoner she had made friends with in her early teens when she regularly snuck out of the palace to mix with the locals.  He stuck by her though, even taking her on an adventure out of Bangkok (which got them into a lot of trouble) when they were 16.  It was here in an unassuming village with no wifi and miles of rice fields that she dared him to kiss her so that she could get it over and done with.  He obliged, never one to back down and then he didn’t see her for three weeks once they returned to the city and her parents put her on lock down.

Ingrid Harper (fc:laura harrier)

The ballerina from London, England and Madlena’s biggest rival during her time at ballet school in Italy. She just always seemed to be better than the Croatian with everything and why she chose Italy as opposed to one of the prestigious English schools of ballet and performing arts was beyond her, but it was suspicious. Unfortunately, the girls never truly got along due to their competitive nature and Madlena’s own stubborn nature which refused to put differences aside to come together and help each other grow. Besides, Andrea, the principal dancer, didn’t laugh at Ingrid. Once Madlena had been forced to leave the school in Italy, Ingrid continued to thrive and moved on to have quite a ballet career, but Madlena refuses to look her up or find out anything about how well she may be doing. Probably a principal dancer traveling the world, living the dream.
