Lea knew what was coming and as soon as she heard the flare, her heart sank. She had just wanted to hand out chocolate and enjoy the company of those around her a little longer. To live life as if it weren’t so fucked up. But she knew the rebels had a mission; a task by the higher ups that had requested the next wave of their grand mission to be taken care of. It didn’t help matters though, that Lea was currently standing like a deer-in-the-headlights. Froze by the actions of her peers; the same peers she was supposed to be helping. Instead, she didn’t move a muscle. Didn’t scream. Didn’t panic. But the frantic thumping of her heart in her ears had been enough to drowned out the screams of the royals and villagers that were surrounding her.
