Finally got to working on the second Cereal Crossing drawing. XD And naturally, I wanted to go with the Freakies, since they're a high one on my fave cereal mascots, and it's honestly one of the few ways I'll get some girls in here. XP Want to give a thanks again to Jess for helping me figure out BossMoss and Hamhose's animal choices!

Drawlloween 2019: Prompt 19 “Kooky Creature Cereal” • So I waffled on this one for a while. But decided to draw Sonny, the mascot of Cocoa Puffs, going Kooky (as in the prompt instead of cuckoo... It always bothered me how I remember how he used to have a pink & white shirt... and now he’s naked! • Wendell the baker is the mascot from Cinnamon Toast Crunch before those little weird squares that eat each other. Again, originally I remember 3 bakers singing the Cinnamon Toast Crunch song... then it was just 1 baker... what happened to the other 2? Is that the secret ingredient? (Cereal killer? Hmmm) • also the box Sonny is bursting out is after the best-selling book by Chuck Klosterman called “Sex, Drugs, & Cocoa Puffs” - which is a collection of essays talking abou lit and deconstructing popular culture including John Cusack Films, Saved by the Bell, cereal, Dixie Chicks, When Harry Met Sally, Empire Strikes Back and more.... • ALSO in the back are numerous bizarre actual mascots for cereals I grew up with (mostly in the 70s) - do you recognize a lot of them? Also we’re there other crazy cereals and mascots you remember? (Wow- this piece has a lot going on... Back in 2013, I grouped all these guys together in a drawing. Looking back, my Freakies humanizations were out of date, and needed a freshening up, so here it is. XD For a quick addition: Blitzem is an OC of mine, and Nifty Nifty is my interpretation of a scrapped character.
