She’s one of two main scientists/doctors in AUA (the other is a lady named Boston)
She’s married to a lady named Angel
She has two adopted children and one that’s biologically hers
Her adopted children are Spirit and Varian and her bio one is Elam
She’s very close with Nathan, Thunder, and James, as they all have problems that make them frequent her
Evo is someone she loves and hates, since he’s a medical marvel to her that she cannot understand. Alocer can infect him, but can’t control him? She cannot find a way to take his genes to create something that will protect people and it drives her insane
She and Elise are like actual friends, despite Elise being a literal child. Astrid ends up lying for Elise by saying it would be too dangerous to restore her sight, despite the fact she easily could, but Elise asked her not to so she could see the void and watch through Alexedar’s eyes when he allows it. Astrid lying for her creates a rift between Astrid, Elise, and Echo, Elise’s older sister, since Echo wanted Elise to be able to see again and is furious when she discovers Astrid lied to everyone
Astrid meets Alexedar after Alocer is banished from his mind, and the two have a strange respect for each other. Angel is stronger than Astrid, and there are times where Angel can get downright terrifying with her abilities and her ruthlessness. Astrid understands, on at least some level, caring for someone with the ability to destroy, the ability to hurt. Her love may not desire chaos, death, and destruction like Alocer, but she’s one of the least judging out of everyone who knows about Alexedar and Alocer’s strange and strained relationship
She’s unfortunately disconnected from Elam, though she’s very close to her adopted sons. She loves Elam, and will always be there for them, but their strength and power makes a rift between them. Angel has power, Astrid is just a smart doctor.
Astrid is usually a pretty self confident person, she knows what she’s good at and is secure in that, but sometimes she’ll feel almost useless since she’s just human. She has no special abilities, she’s just human. That’s a large part of why she looks up to Gabriel’s memory, as he was just a normal human and he ended up playing one of the biggest roles in academy history, being the one to make the device that shattered Alocer’s soul and made Angela’s body
Astrid is a big mother figure to Boston and is the one to take care of her while she gets used to her new life as a spirit
